ChatGPT Gets Integrated Across Apple Platforms

Siri can tap into ChatGPT’s expertise when helpful. Users are asked before any questions are sent to ChatGPT, along with any documents or photos, and Siri then presents the answer directly.

A New Standard for Privacy in AI

Apple Intelligence aims to be helpful while keeping your information private. It does this by using your device to process information whenever possible. For more complex tasks, it uses "Private Cloud Compute", which extends your device's privacy and security into the cloud. This allows Apple Intelligence to access more powerful tools for complex requests without compromising your privacy. The cloud servers used are powered by Apple silicon and are designed to never store or expose your data. Independent experts can review the code running on these servers to verify their security. Private Cloud Compute also uses encryption to ensure your device only communicates with servers that have been publicly reviewed and verified. This combination of privacy and powerful processing sets a new standard for AI, giving users the ability to use intelligence they can trust.
