Brokerage Account

A brokerage account is an investment account you open with a financial institution called a broker-dealer. It allows you to buy and sell stocks, bonds, and other investments. When you invest through a brokerage account, you are essentially giving the broker-dealer permission to execute your trades on your behalf. Brokerage accounts can be used for a variety of purposes, such as saving for retirement, education, or a down payment on a house.
